Balancing Your Work, Family, and Soul: The Art and Business of Public Speaking Podcast

November 2, 2016 By Joshua Straub 1 Comment

Do you have trouble balancing work and family life? Does it take a toll on your soul?

My answers: I do. And yes.

From a heart level, this may be the most meaningful interview I have done in my short life. I had the privilege of sitting down with my dear friend, Ken Davis. He knows how to ask the right questions. We talk honestly about work / family balance and how to take care of our souls.

In this episode, you’ll learn about:

  • The importance of inviting your spouse in to what you’re doing.
  • Fame, freedom and finances – you cannot have all three at the same time.
  • Being aware of who is giving us counsel. Do their values align with your values?

The Art and Business of Public Speaking podcast is geared toward helping others learn how to become better speakers on stage and earn a living doing so. This particular episode touches us all, no matter our profession.

Ken is someone I look up to and admire dearly. I tend to take life too seriously. Ken, with the help of Lighten Up Monday, brings me back to the joys of everyday living.

Not only does Ken host the podcast, he is also giving away a ton of free content. So be sure to click here to listen to the podcast and find the many resources he has to offer.

Nobody I know chases the heart of the God and sees His beauty the way you do. What I get to see is your beauty grow more radiant by the day because of your pursuit. I still can’t believe I get to be by your side for this crazy, wild adventure we’re on together. Happy Birthday, my love! Here’s to another 365 days of beauty!
