Social distancing threw us a few curve balls. With that season seemingly coming to a close for many across the world, the question we have to ask as families is: What did we learn?

Not only is social distancing coming to an end, but so is season 7 of our podcast. Pretty crazy! As we launch a new season, we begin with Christi on maternity leave. In this episode, we talk about the lessons we learned as a family, the changes we’ll be making, and where we’re headed as a new season of the Famous at Home podcast begins.

Hi! You mentioned in this podcast that you’re partnering with the Lokeys on a joint counseling/coaching endeavor for families. You said you’d link to info about it in the show notes, but I don’t see it here. Can you tell me where I can find more info?
    Thanks!

John wrote, “We love because He first loved us” (1 John 4:19, CSB). Our capacity to love and “see” our kids is a reflection of how well we have received love and felt “seen” by others.

When we feel seen, we feel loved.
When we feel loved, we see others.
When others feel seen, they feel loved.
When others feel loved, they see others.
And the cycle continues.

This is how we build the Kingdom of God—by experiencing the love of a Father who is closer to us than our clothes.

A Father who is compassionate.
A Father who is gracious.
A Father who is slow to anger.
A Father who is abounding in steadfast love.

None of us can live fully alive and “see” others without that security. And your Heavenly Father knows that. Which is why He’s always available.
