Sometimes, a few nuggets of wisdom just isn’t enough. In this episode, we discuss some of the deeper reasons behind why it’s so difficult to connect in marriage.
We also talk about our own marital journey of late and how counseling has helped us work through the baggage, blindness, and busyness of the day. Yes, three “bee’s” that can “sting” your marriage. Dad jokes rock.
Of course, the conversation includes practical ways we can connect at a deeper, more intimate level with our spouse.

So well said! Thank you for sharing the realness of marriage, the hard reality of working toward your spouse. Thank you for unmasking the devil’s schemes to drive spouses apart and to divide marriages. We can conquer the devil and drive him out because God is Almighty! God designed marriage for us. We can win with the love and grace of God, through His Son, Jesus. Thank you again for getting real.
Thanks, Lynn. You’re so welcome. This is well said.
Can you do a sex podcast. I know it’s uncomfortable but we all deal with it so hopefully y’all would be willing to do it. Of course pray about it but I think it would help a lot because that’s not a very common topic.
You bet. It’s on our list!
Josh & Christi,
I listened to a number of your podcasts and I think they are very good. As you say many people are blind to their baggage. A little about me, I’m a contractor of over 40 years and have been studying some counseling materials. I’ve been counseling with a couple and did the SYMBIS+ with them and would like to see in particular the wife counsel with a professional. I don’t know how to fine someone in my area. We live about 50 miles north of Harrisburg, Pa.
They do not have internet. What would you suggest?
Thanks,
Gary Royer
My daughter is emotional being drained by her husband constantly criticizing and belittling her and has lost her job and he is considering divorce. So I would love for her to talk with someone. She has tried a few conselors with him and now he says only she needs counseling. Do you have a phone number to contact someone
Nancy, I’m sorry to hear about your daughter and son-in-law. There are a few directories that can help her find a counselor. Just have her enter her zip code and a list of counselors in her area will be listed. I hope this helps.
